In October 2023, Constitutional Court chief justice Anwar Usman, Jokowi's brother-in-law, issued a ruling that created a loophole in the minimum age requirement for presidential and vice-presidential candidates, allowing Jokowi's son Gibran Rakabuming Raka to run as Prabowo's running mate in 2024.
