Była chłodna, jesienna noc. Czekałem, tak jak byliśmy umówieni, na Tsuneko (nie bardzo pamiętam, ale chyba tak miała na imię; cały ja – żeby nie pamiętać imienia kobiety, z którą próbowałem odebrać sobie życie) przy ulicznym kramie w którymś z zaułków Ginzy i jadłem niesmaczne sushi. Ciekawe, że nie jestem pewien imienia dziewczyny, za to doskonale zachowuję w pamięci beznadziejny smak jedzenia.
